The vow
The setup
A priest arrives at a new parish in a small town. A college-aged parishioner keeps crossing his path. He is under a vow and she is the first person who makes keeping it difficult.
The forbidden-vow story is old and the catalogue does not usually do much with it. This version works better than most because the setting does the work: a church is a place where people have to behave in public, and the series gets its tension from the distance between the room everyone can see and the one they cannot.
The free pair
Episode 1 is a first service in an unfamiliar building, with one face in the pews that he keeps returning to. Episode 2 is the confession, which is the scene the title promises and the obvious place to end the free run.
It is a well-chosen stopping point. The confessional is a device the format was almost designed for: two people, a partition, and nothing to look at but what is being said.
Where it thins out
Once the gap between public and private closes, the series loses its engine. The last two episodes are ordinary in a way the first three are not, and the small-town element, which could have supplied a complication, never does.
How explicit it gets
Three out of five. Nothing in the free pair. From episode 3 there is sex on screen, shot softly.
What it costs
Two free, then 12 tokens each or Premium: 36 tokens to finish.

- Both characters are generated adults from the platform's own cast.
- Explicit from episode 3. The free pair stays at tension.
Our verdict on Forgive Me, Father
The forbidden-vow premise handled with more restraint than the catalogue usually manages, mostly because the setting forces it: a church is a place where people have to behave, and the series gets its tension from the gap between the public room and the private one. Thin in the back half once that gap closes.
